Meta announced that Threads now has 500 million monthly active users. The company credited growth to Communities features. It is graduating Communities out of beta and adding a Communities Hub, distinct icons, Community Progress indicators, champion status for frequent contributors, and local Communities with native language tags in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. Meta also launched Your Algo, allowing users to privately control conversations in their feed for one, three, or seven days. The feature is rolling out in the U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
