Quantum X Labs reports first hardware test of Qatacomb encryption

Quantum X Labs reports first hardware test of Qatacomb encryption Image: Primary
Quantum X Labs said its Qatacomb encryption scheme reconstructed an encrypted image in its first test on a real quantum processor, using IBM's 156-qubit Heron r2. The company programmed the run through Qiskit and reported that the intended recipient recovered correct content for better than nine of every ten image elements, reconstructing the full image without error despite processor noise. The scheme is designed to protect information through the structure of quantum states rather than assumptions about an attacker's computing power. In the demonstration, an exact evaluation of the adversary's best possible measurement found no usable advantage without the key.
