Google tests AI Mode ads using information from connected apps

Google tests AI Mode ads using information from connected apps Image: Primary
Google has started testing AI Mode ads for users who enable Personal Intelligence, allowing information drawn from connected apps to influence ad personalization, Search Engine Journal reported. The test follows a privacy policy change effective October 16 that permits this use when users make app data available to other Google services. Google's help documentation says Search may use summaries, excerpts and inferences from connected sources rather than matching ads directly to raw email or photo contents. Advertisers cannot access users' inboxes or photo libraries. Turning off personalized ads stops that advertising use, but disconnecting the apps is required to remove them from Personal Intelligence entirely.
