Baseten raised 1.5 billion dollars in Series F funding at a 13 billion dollar valuation. The San Francisco based company provides systems software to run AI applications workloads. The round marked the company's fourth fundraise in 18 months and was co led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, Spark Capital, Sands Capital and Wellington Management. Crunchbase News identified the financing as the week's largest U.S. venture round in its June 26, 2026, article titled The Week's 10 Biggest Funding Rounds: AI Drives Another Spree Of Megadeals, written by Joanna Glasner. The report placed the round at the top of its list of the 10 biggest funding rounds announced by U.S. based startups. The article stated that most of the largest U.S. startup funding rounds that week centered around artificial intelligence. Its methodology section explained that the list tracked the largest announced rounds in the Crunchbase database raised by U.S. based companies for the period of June 18 to 26. Although most announced rounds are represented in the database, there could be a small time lag as some rounds are reported late in the week.
