Google launches Gemini agent for business tasks across internal systems

Google launches Gemini agent for business tasks across internal systems Image: Primary
Google announced a unified Gemini agent for businesses that can plan work and act across internal systems, TechCrunch reported. The company will bring the agent to businesses before rolling it out to consumers. Google says users can assign objectives, attach files and connect services including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack and databases. The agent selects a model automatically, with users able to choose alternatives starting with Anthropic's Claude models. The agent will have its own Workspace account and email address, and its actions will produce an audit trail attributed to the agent. A tasks inbox lets users monitor progress. Google also announced real-time spending caps; support for open source and other private models is planned for later.
