Slack adds AI-built interactive reports and dashboards inside chats
Image: Primary Slack said a new feature, Slackforce Surfaces, will let users describe a report, dashboard, poll, presentation or microsite to Slackbot, which uses AI to assemble it from relevant conversations and connected apps such as Google Drive or Salesforce.
Created Surfaces can be shared with colleagues, pinned to channels, viewed, interacted with and commented on. Slack said the feature pulls only information its AI tools have permission to access. Surfaces is available to all customers, including free workspaces, with Slackbot enabled, and will work with live data starting in October.
