Citadel reportedly sells more than 80% of Situational Awareness portfolio
Citadel sold $4 billion of public-equity positions, more than 80% of a portfolio it acquired from AI-focused hedge fund Situational Awareness, NewsBytes reported. The report said the sales followed a 67% loss at Situational Awareness when AI stocks declined, leading that fund to unload most of its $16 billion in public equities. Citadel executed nearly 100 block trades, according to the report. The source did not identify the individual securities or provide terms for the portfolio transfer.
