Abrigo restores most Sageworks functions after suspicious activity

Abrigo restored most functions of its Sageworks lending risk management application on Monday, but borrower-facing capabilities remain unavailable, BleepingComputer reports. The company took the application offline on October 30 after detecting what it called irregular activity, and the outage continued through the weekend. Sageworks helps lenders process applications, analyze borrowers' finances, assess creditworthiness, and monitor loan portfolios. The incident affected Online Portal Now, Sageworks Analyst, and Sageworks API. Abrigo serves more than 2,400 entities, according to the company. Its investigation continues, and whether the outage resulted from a breach or a technical issue remains unclear.
