Omen AI acquires Aquatic Labs in $16 million cash-and-stock deal

Omen AI acquires Aquatic Labs in $16 million cash-and-stock deal Image: Primary
Omen AI is acquiring water-sensor competitor Aquatic Labs in a $16 million cash-and-stock deal, TechCrunch reported. The acquisition combines Omen's technology for detecting elements in cooling water with Aquatic Labs' alkalinity measurements. Aquatic Labs chief executive Allan Adams becomes Omen's chief science officer. The combined teams are integrating the technologies into one sensor that they expect to bring to market by early next year. Real-time monitoring is intended to replace laboratory testing that takes multiple days and help data center operators keep cooling fluid in use longer. Operators otherwise risk shutting down equipment while they dump and restore fluid when its condition deteriorates.
