OpenRouter says AssemblyAI's Universal-3.6 Pro is now available on its platform for speech transcription through AssemblyAI's Sync API at $0.30 per hour. Compared with Universal-3.5 Pro, OpenRouter claims 30% fewer errors on short conversational utterances and 12% fewer errors on average across supported languages. It also lists improved recognition and formatting of phone numbers, addresses, emails and codes, plus 14 new languages.
