AWS expands C8gb compute availability to seven more regions

AWS announced general availability of its Graviton4-powered EC2 C8gb instances in Ohio, Northern California, Frankfurt, Ireland, Paris, Stockholm and Cape Town. The expansion gives customers in those regions access to instances designed for workloads requiring high block storage throughput, including high-performance file systems. AWS says the instances provide up to 300 Gbps of block storage bandwidth, 1600K input/output operations per second and 400 Gbps of networking bandwidth. Sizes extend to 48xlarge with up to 384 GiB of memory. AWS claims up to 30% better compute performance than Graviton3-based instances; its storage performance comparison instead uses same-sized Graviton4-based instances.
