FDA authorizes wearable system for continuous glucose and ketone monitoring

The FDA authorized the Libre Duo 10 Day Continuous Dual Glucose-Ketone Monitoring System for people ages 2 and older with diabetes, according to the agency. The wearable tracks glucose and ketones simultaneously, measuring both every minute in fluid under the skin and sending readings and trend arrows to a smartphone app. The system can trigger alerts when ketones cross a critical threshold. Abbott plans to launch Libre Duo 10 Day later this year.
