Anthropic outlined collaborations with six organizations, including Bristol Myers Squibb, Generate Biomedicines and BigHat Biosciences, to expand Claude's use in drug development, Yahoo Finance reported. The work spans scientific research and operational tasks. In one collaboration, six Generate scientists used Claude Code to propose designs for a component of CAR T-cell therapy, which uses immune cells to target cancer. Anthropic said one design was about 70% shorter than the standard version and enabled immune cells to make roughly 10 times as many receptors in laboratory tests. Generate aims to extend the therapy from blood cancers to solid tumors; the reported findings are laboratory results.
