Binance begins phased withdrawal restart after crypto theft Image: Primary
Binance began restoring withdrawals in phases on November 1, between 06:00 and 09:00 UTC, according to its recovery update. The first phase covers networks and assets with the most user demand in the past week; further withdrawals will follow as security checks finish. Deposits remain open. The exchange says it has covered about 95% of the stolen amount, up from 90% on Saturday. It is buying the remaining 5%, comprising less liquid tokens outside its top ten, through market and over-the-counter deals. Binance said it set aside more than $6.34bn from company funds, including emergency reserves, its futures insurance fund and corporate treasury.
