AWS integrates automatic subtitles into MediaConvert video workflows

AWS says MediaConvert now generates subtitles through a native integration with Elemental Inference Smart Subtitles, bringing speech transcription into its video-on-demand transcoding and packaging workflows. Customers can create subtitles without running a separate external captioning pipeline. The integration supports English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish, with outputs as separate text files or subtitles burned into video. Custom dictionaries guide recognition of names and technical terms. Availability is limited to regions where Elemental Inference operates, including N. Virginia, Oregon, Ireland, Mumbai and Sydney.
