AWS adds UK availability zone and Las Vegas Local Zone Image: DCD
AWS launched a new availability zone in its London cloud region and made a Las Vegas Local Zone generally available this week. The UK availability zone offers AI and machine-learning capacity, including EC2, Trn3 and P6 accelerated instances, along with general-purpose compute. The Las Vegas Local Zone, attached to the US West Oregon region, offers selected compute, storage, database, container and networking services intended for lower-latency workloads near users or on-premises sites.
