GXO and Agility Robotics announced on Oct. 26 that they plan to expand Digit humanoid robot deployments to fulfillment facilities in Statesville, North Carolina, and Lebanon, Tennessee, TechRepublic reported. The robots will perform repetitive material-handling tasks beginning in early 2027. The deployments will start with Digit 4 and transition to Digit 5 when it becomes commercially available. The companies say Digit has moved more than 100,000 totes at GXO's Georgia warehouse. Agility targets Digit 5 general availability for the end of 2027.
