Taiwan is raising at least $4 billion through the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association to build an industrial park in Texas, Tom's Hardware reported, citing Bloomberg. The project would help smaller suppliers to companies including TSMC and Foxconn establish U.S. operations. Taiwan's government also plans loan guarantees and assistance with visas, permits and dealings with U.S. officials. American firms could join the park. Taiwan has reportedly secured land, but its Ministry of Economic Affairs has not released site details.
