DREAMS preprint describes automated materials screening from papers to simulations

Researchers describe DREAMS, a language model agent system that carries out a computational screening pipeline for metal-organic frameworks, in a preprint. It mines research literature, connects publications to crystal structures and builds a database ready for computation before running progressively more expensive simulations. The system identified promising candidates for separation under wet flue gas conditions, all originating from independent studies. Its reported result concerns computational screening rather than experimental validation of the selected materials.
