Mozilla launches Firefox Enterprise with self-hosted browser management

Mozilla launches Firefox Enterprise with self-hosted browser management Image: Primary
Mozilla has launched Firefox Enterprise for companies and public bodies with strict security and compliance requirements. It combines the browser with a management console that organizations can host on their own servers to set access rules and control where data goes. IT teams can allow, limit or disable AI tools, restrict add-ons, and warn or block staff sending sensitive data to specified sites. A locked-down browsing mode and integration with existing security tools are also included, alongside paid support. Sales will start in France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Mozilla did not publish prices; Thunderbird Enterprise, which would extend the self-hosted approach to email, is still in development.
