Kali Linux 2026.3 adds six security tools and containerized builds Image: Primary
Kali Linux released version 2026.3 with six additional tools for security testing and research, BleepingComputer reports. They include Dalfox for automated cross-site scripting scans, RustScan for port scanning and snaffler-ng for finding credentials and sensitive data in SMB shares. The release updates 126 packages and upgrades the kernel from 6.19 to 7.1.5. Refreshed image-building scripts support Docker and Podman containers and use consistent interfaces across platforms. Some scripts still await the refresh, which the team aims to finish for Kali 2026.4. Existing users can upgrade, while installation and live images are available for download.
