Morphotonics raises €40 million for optics manufacturing and data-center push

Dutch manufacturing startup Morphotonics has raised €40 million in an extended round backed by investors including 3M Ventures, Innovation Industries, Invest-NL and the European Investment Bank. The company makes machines that stamp microscopic patterns into photosensitive materials for displays and other optical components. Morphotonics plans to scale production, expand into optical links for data centers and ship a machine capable of producing more than 6 million smart-glasses waveguides annually early next year. It has not shipped machines for data-center optics, although it says customers have validated the technology. The round began in 2024 and was raised in multiple installments.
