Apple and LG reportedly co-develop LG-branded smart home devices

Apple and LG reportedly co-develop LG-branded smart home devices Image: Primary
Apple is working with LG Electronics on a video doorbell, thermostat, smart deadbolt, and three security cameras, Bloomberg reported. LG will manufacture the devices and handle customer support, while Apple can shape their design and features and oversee engineering. The accessories are intended to work with Apple's forthcoming home hub, upgraded HomePod mini, and new Apple TV. LG has sought FCC and UL Solutions approval for the products, although the filings do not mention Apple. Development has lagged behind Apple's devices, and the LG products will not reach shops for at least a few more months. Both companies declined to comment.
