Apple has reportedly laid off at least 60 employees connected to its VR team, the Apple Vision Group and similar roles, according to an AppleInsider report cited by 9to5Mac. Apple has not confirmed or commented on the report. The reported reductions follow an earlier breakup of the Vision Products Group and come as Apple is said to be moving resources toward AI-powered smart glasses, while continuing to say it is investing in visionOS and spatial computing.
