WeRide forms insurance program with Allianz Singapore and Ping An Image: Primary
WeRide announced on Oct. 27 that it established a global insurance partnership program with Allianz Insurance Singapore and Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance. The partners will develop coverage for autonomous vehicle operations, including motor, commercial general and product liability, alongside privacy and cybersecurity risks. The program spans existing deployments in China, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, as well as upcoming European launches. Coverage will follow local requirements. WeRide expects fleet scale and centralized insurance programs to improve efficiency over time; those savings are prospective.
