Akamai lands $600 million cloud deal for robotics work

Akamai said a US-based technology company committed more than $600 million over four years for its cloud infrastructure services to support robotics development. The company said the agreement brings its cloud-infrastructure multiyear commitments signed this year above $2.8 billion. Akamai's chief financial officer said its GPU capacity was fully sold out and that the new contract would require a further $500 million in capital expenditure to replenish and expand that capacity.
