TeraWulf doubles contracted Muskie power to 1 GW, advances second phase

TeraWulf doubles contracted Muskie power to 1 GW, advances second phase Image: Primary
TeraWulf said Oct. 5 that it doubled contracted electric service for its planned Muskie Data Campus in eastern Kentucky from 500 MW to 1 GW. The amended agreement moves delivery of the second 500 MW from 2030 to 2029; the initial phase remains scheduled to begin ramping up in 2028. Kentucky Power plans a new 765-kV substation and transmission lines to serve the campus, with the system targeted to enter service in October 2028. Additional service depends on regulatory approval and the utility's construction schedule. TeraWulf has not announced a Muskie tenant, and final transmission routes have not been selected.
