Oxide describes running unmodified rack software on a mini-PC

Oxide describes running unmodified rack software on a mini-PC Image: Primary
Oxide says its Virtual Oxide Labs emulation system can run unmodified rack software on a single computer, allowing engineers to test networking configurations, switches and microcontrollers without a physical rack. In a technical account, an Oxide Product Assurance team member describes running six virtual compute sleds on a mini-PC with a 32-thread AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX and 96GB RAM. Those sleds can represent one rack or two racks sharing a management plane. The setup requires Oxide Helios and a sufficiently fast NVMe drive.
