Waymo Begins Full Autonomous Ride Hailing Services in Dallas
Image: Primary Waymo has officially begun offering its autonomous ride hailing services in Dallas, the company announced. The company said anybody will now be able to hail a fully driverless taxi.
Following trials first initiated in February, the company has welcomed almost 150,000 riders in Dallas from its interest list and has now opened up its services to all within the city. The company stated that it will also continue to test its fully autonomous offerings at Dallas Love Field Airport terminals and begin trials on Dallas freeways in due course.
Chris Justl, CEO of Epilepsy Foundation Texas, said Waymo autonomous vehicles are not just the future-they're a transformational step forward for the epilepsy community and anyone living with medical conditions that limit their ability to drive, creating a new pathway to safe, independent travel. He added that the foundation is proud to partner with Waymo to help bring this future to life across Texas.
