Ransomware attack halts trading on Nepal Stock Exchange

Data Hub detected the attack early that morning and kept affected systems offline while investigating whether the malware had reached connected networks.
NEPSE said Data Hub isolated its infrastructure before the attack reached the exchange's own system. Trading will resume only after the hosting problem is resolved and forensic work is completed. Data Hub said a backup taken at roughly 4 a.m. before detection was stored in an isolated location.
