Samsung reportedly cuts Galaxy production plans by up to 30%

Samsung reportedly cuts Galaxy production plans by up to 30% Image: Primary
Samsung is cutting Galaxy smartphone production by up to 30% through Q4 2026, according to Korean outlet MoneyToday, as reported by 9to5Google. The report says annual production may barely surpass 200 million smartphones, compared with an original forecast of around 270 million. The report links the reduction to rising memory costs despite Samsung's own role in the memory market. It says the price of 12GB of RAM has risen 175% since last year and is expected to rise by around 20% quarter over quarter in Q3 and Q4. The production figures are reported plans and estimates.
