Elekta secures up to €100 million EIB loan for treatment technology research
Image: Primary Elekta secured a European Investment Bank loan of up to €100 million to support a research programme in radiotherapy, radiosurgery, brachytherapy and treatment-planning software, according to EU-Startups. The loan can cover up to half of a roughly €200 million programme planned for 2026 through 2029, with most work based in Sweden and the Netherlands. Elekta develops precision radiation-medicine systems for cancer and certain neurological conditions.
