ICANN published 1,615 applications for new generic top-level domains, the endings that follow the last dot in an internet address. The October 7 disclosure identifies applicants, proposed strings, preliminary groups of competing applications and public application materials. The total includes 333 brand applications and 21 applications for internationalized domain names. Eligible applicants have two weeks to switch to an alternate string submitted with their application. ICANN will publish the final list on 17 November 2026, beginning the formal community comment and objections period.
