SAP links warehouse and maintenance workflows to robot tasks

SAP links warehouse and maintenance workflows to robot tasks Image: Primary
SAP unveiled capabilities that let its enterprise systems trigger robot tasks and record their outcomes, citing warehouse and inspection applications with customers and partners. Warehouse orders and maintenance plans supply the business context for physical actions, while results return to SAP as structured records. SAP says Holcim has implemented inspections using drones and quadruped robots, with maintenance plans triggering inspections and completed actions creating maintenance notifications. At Intel's Chengdu site, a proof of concept translates warehouse transport tasks into autonomous robot missions. SAP provides workflow orchestration and governance; partners provide the physical execution.
