SAP plans to deploy prediction model on ISS computer by early 2027

SAP plans to deploy prediction model on ISS computer by early 2027 Image: Primary
SAP announced plans to deploy SAP-RPT, its model for making predictions from structured data, on HPE Spaceborne Computer-2 aboard the International Space Station by early 2027. The company says onboard processing will support analysis of mission telemetry without routing time-sensitive data back to Earth. The planned functions include identifying anomalies, reconstructing missing sensor values, assessing mission risk and producing reports for astronauts and ground teams. SAP says the model makes predictions without the usual training or fine-tuning. The deployment is intended to test its operation under energy limits, intermittent connectivity and radiation interference.
