Vercel adds option to reduce request data sent to middleware

Vercel adds option to reduce request data sent to middleware Image: Primary
Vercel now lets developers stop forwarding client request bodies to Routing Middleware, the code that handles request routing. The company says the option reduces incoming Fast Origin Transfer usage for middleware invocations and can improve time to first byte, especially for requests with large bodies. Developers enable skipMiddlewareRequestBody in their project's vercel.json or vercel.ts configuration and redeploy for it to take effect. Vercel Functions and rewrite targets still receive the request body. The option defaults to false and should be enabled only when Routing Middleware does not read request bodies.
