GXO expands Digit robot agreement to North Carolina and Tennessee sites

GXO expands Digit robot agreement to North Carolina and Tennessee sites Image: Primary
GXO Logistics and Agility Robotics announced an expanded agreement to deploy Digit humanoid robots at GXO's Statesville, North Carolina, and Lebanon, Tennessee, sites. The companies expect deployments to begin in early 2027, handling repetitive material-moving tasks in e-commerce fulfillment. The sites will start with Digit 4 and move to Digit 5 once that model becomes commercially available. The expansion follows a commercial deployment at GXO's Flowery Branch, Georgia, facility, where the companies say Digit has moved more than 100,000 totes since 2024. There, the robots work alongside existing automation, moving totes onto conveyors.
