AbbVie partners with Iambic on AI-assisted drug discovery

AbbVie and Iambic announced a multiyear collaboration applying Iambic's drug-design models to small-molecule programs in immunology, neuroscience and oncology. Iambic will receive an upfront payment and may earn success-based milestones and tiered royalties on products from the partnership; the companies did not disclose payment amounts. The work will use Enchant v3, a model trained on more than 6,000 molecular properties, alongside NeuralPLexer to evaluate multiple candidate characteristics. The stated goal is to test more design hypotheses in parallel, but no resulting drug candidate has yet been reported.
