Google could soon let you assign tasks to Spark from a regular Gemini chat

Google could soon let you assign tasks to Spark from a regular Gemini chat Image: Primary
Google is developing an "Assign Task" feature for its Gemini app that would let users direct tasks to the Spark tool without first selecting it from the sidebar, Android Authority reported Monday. The publication said it enabled the option in version 17.45.14 of the Google app. Currently, users can only assign tasks to Spark by choosing it from the sidebar in the Gemini app. The new option would appear in the input tool sheet and switch the chat to Spark automatically when selected. The report notes that selecting the option will prevent users from accessing other Gemini tools such as Images or Videos within the same conversation. The app will prompt users to start a new chat for regular Gemini interactions, and task updates will appear in the Spark section rather than alongside standard Gemini chats. The feature is not yet available to the public but appears to be functioning well in testing and could roll out soon.
