Krystal Biotech pushes three trial milestones into 2027

Krystal Biotech pushes three trial milestones into 2027 Image: Primary
Krystal Biotech pushed milestones for three treatment trials into 2027 in its Nov. 2 report, despite a 30% increase in third-quarter sales of its gene therapy Vyjuvek to $127.3 million. Enrollment completion and top-line results for KB801, its neurotrophic keratitis eye treatment, now fall in 2027. Interim results for cystic fibrosis treatment KB407 moved to the first half of 2027, while the last patient visit for the KB803 eye-abrasion trial is now February 2027. Krystal said narrow eligibility criteria slowed KB801 enrollment and that recruiting a placebo-controlled trial is difficult when patients already have an approved therapy.
