DJI launches Matrice 5T with thermal imaging and radar for night operations Image: Primary
DJI has launched the Matrice 5T through authorized Enterprise dealers, adding thermal imaging, LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar for emergency responders and infrastructure inspectors. Its native 1280 x 1024 thermal camera has four times as many pixels as a 640 x 512 sensor. The drone combines visual and radar data to navigate where GPS drops out. Built-in AI models scan thermal and standard video for more than 20 object categories, while FlightHub 2 users can search using text prompts or reference images. DJI specifies up to 59 minutes of flight time and an IP55 weather-resistance rating.
