OpenAI announced a partnership with security research company Hacktron to identify and fix vulnerabilities, particularly those involving connections to third-party services. OpenAI engineers and Hacktron researchers will jointly select high-priority testing areas, and Hacktron will receive expanded access to advanced models through OpenAI's Daybreak Red program. OpenAI said it encountered Hacktron through its bug bounty program, where the researchers disclosed vulnerabilities. Hacktron develops AI agents for code reviews, penetration testing and adversarial security testing. The partnership targets risks arising when AI agents connect applications, cloud infrastructure and identity systems.
