Atlassian introduces AMP for agents working across its platform

Atlassian introduces AMP for agents working across its platform Image: Primary
Atlassian announced Agentic Multiplayer Protocol (AMP), a framework for humans and AI agents to collaborate across its platform with assigned identities, scoped permissions, shared tasks and reviewable results. The company says AMP is live across the platform today. Its new Rovo Work mode proposes plans for multi-step tasks and executes them across Jira, Confluence and connected tools, with human review and approval. Tasks can run for hours in a sandbox governed by administrators. Atlassian also expanded its MCP interface, which lets external agents use platform tools, from dozens of tools to 200+. Additional agent accounts and an inventory of non-human identities are coming soon.
