Certain Energy raises €11.6 million for manganese flow-battery deployment
Image: Primary Certain Energy, formerly RFC Power, has raised €11.6 million in Series A funding to commercialize its manganese flow-battery technology and prepare it for grid-scale deployment. The British Business Bank led the round with €4 million, joined by Centrica Energy, Ceres Power and Temasek Trust's Catalytic Capital for Climate and Health. The company plans to use the capital for a grid-connected MWh-class system in India, expanded UK research facilities and a supply chain for additional commercial projects.
