Natural Resources Wales discloses employee diversity-data exposure

Natural Resources Wales disclosed that a spreadsheet containing equality-monitoring and diversity information for former and current employees was inadvertently published online and later removed. The affected group covers people employed between April 2013 and March 2018; possible fields include ethnicity, disability status, religion or belief, sexual orientation, Welsh-language ability and caring responsibilities. NRW reported the incident to the UK Information Commissioner's Office, said it completed an investigation, and is reviewing controls. It said it has found no evidence the information was misused.
