OpenAI plans shared ChatGPT and Codex allowance as desktop tabs merge Image: Primary
OpenAI plans to combine the Chat and Work tabs in its ChatGPT desktop app and put ChatGPT and Codex usage into one token allowance, according to a user email reported by TechCrunch. The combined interface will first reach select users for feedback before a wider rollout. Users will be able to bring files and plugins into the same space for tasks such as building websites, making presentations and working on the web. Codex will remain a separate experience. OpenAI said some users could face more frequent waits for allowance resets, depending on usage and model.
