Android Auto users report warnings that older phones will lose support

Android Auto users report warnings that older phones will lose support Image: Primary
Some Android Auto users have received notifications saying the service will soon stop working on their phones, 9to5Google reports. Most of the reported devices appear to run Android 10, raising the possibility of a higher minimum operating-system requirement. Wireless Android Auto currently requires Android 11, while wired support requires Android 9 Pie. Reports include Samsung's Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S9 and Sony's Xperia XZ2 Compact. Google's support page still lists the existing requirements, and the notifications give no additional context about the impending loss of support.
