Arm joins European chip-design platform as its first commercial IP provider
Image: Primary Arm has signed a strategic framework agreement to become the first commercial intellectual-property provider in the European Chips Design Platform, a European Chips Act initiative funded by the Chips Joint Undertaking. Arm says participating startups, smaller companies and research teams will gain a route to its processor designs, software, development tools and training through its Flexible Access programs.
EuroCDP will pair that access with engineering teams that can support system-on-chip development. Eligibility still governs the no-fee startup program, while complimentary academic access is limited to non-commercial research and education.
