AWS adds end-to-end IPv6 for private CloudFront origins

Amazon Web Services announced that CloudFront can now deliver IPv6 traffic to private origins inside Amazon Virtual Private Cloud. Previously, CloudFront connected to these origins over IPv4 only, forcing customers seeking IPv6 delivery to move origins into public subnets. The new dual-stack option supports private Application Load Balancers, Network Load Balancers and EC2 instances that only the customer's CloudFront distributions can reach. AWS says it carries no additional cost and is available in all AWS Commercial Regions where VPC origins are supported.
