Cloudflare makes Python Workers generally available

Cloudflare made Python a fully supported language on its Workers platform, moving a two-year-old capability into general availability. Developers can now connect Python applications directly to Workers AI, storage, databases, queues and workflows, while running frameworks including FastAPI, Django and Flask. The runtime automatically converts objects across the Python-JavaScript boundary and translates Python socket operations into Workers networking calls, enabling PostgreSQL and MySQL drivers through Hyperdrive. It uses a WebAssembly-compiled Python interpreter, so packages with native extensions still require compatible PyEmscripten builds, an ecosystem that remains under development.
